Seemingly every tree in the Sandhills fully unfurled its leaves this week;
in the midst of whirlwinds and torrential rains, spring has arrived in earnest, and everywhere familiar faces abound.
Butterfly.
Beauty plain and simple.
Palamedes swallowtail.
Was there ever a child who spied a butterfly and did not squeal with glee?
Wonder a-wing.
Snake.
Surveying the sunset.
Snake.
Surveying the sunset.
