Summer brings the sun so near,
and heaven's
soothing waters
soothing waters
make it easier to bear.
Cool summer showers,
converging in the gentle mountain stream,
witness to a miracle,
surface barely dimpled by the weight of the fearless walkers;
stones kissed and nudged and coaxed along,
once one with the mighty mountain,
now severed and smoothed
and urged seaward by gravity
and the stream of crystal clear, life-giving water,
leaving nifty salamander pillows strewn along the banks.
Cool summer rains,
cascading from on high,
nourishing,
strengthening,
unfurling in subtle and glorious colors;
refreshing and rejuvenating draught of summer.
And, in the early evening mist,
by the gently rippling pond,
savor with the dragonfly
summer born anew,
gift of precious water.
Thanks to Hunter for the salamander pictures...
Water is such a precious commodity that we all take for granted way more than we should. It is a basic ingredient for life. I never complain when it rains. I'd rather be too wet than too dry. Beautiful pictures as always and soothing, calming, and relaxing poetic comments. Priceless. Thank you.
